Publications represents all the building blocks of the website. A publication is used to manage the contents using Folders and structuregroup.

Folders is the place where the contents and design items are stored in an organized manner

Structure Groups is the place where pages are are stored in an organized manner.

Publications are used to

  • Manage user access using permissions and rights
  • Create and initiate Workflow processes so that users create and edit items  following a predefined set of activities
  • Share and reuse content
  • Create a site URL structure through Structure Groups
