Social media and social tools are important in not only in personal life but also for our professional lives as these tools help us communicate actively with our colleagues and business connections. Sharepoint has now become the standard platform of choice for corporate intranets and portals, but Sharepoint lacks the facility for micro blogging. To fill this gap IOTAP has developed a solution called SPitter which is like a Twitter for Sharepoint. Just like Twitter, SPitter allows employees within an organization to stay connected through the exchange of quick status updates and link sharing.
